Position: Youth Pastor/ part-time/ bi-vocational
Responsibilities include and are not limited to: Conducting a midweek service, and teaching Sunday school youth class. Discipling students and encouraging them to develop their gifts and talents in the Lord. Must believe and teach the sixteen fundamental truths of the Assemblies of God doctrine. Planning and leading youth events and activities. Developing youth group team members and leaders. Attending youth camp and youth events. Finally, Youth pastor must be teachable and easy to work with the lead pastor in the vision for the whole body. Current youth group is an average 20 youth on Wednesday.

Our church is strategically located across the street from the high school, next door to the lower elementary, and a few blocks away from the middle school. The school attendance is around 120 souls per grade level. We have a great opportunity in our backyard. We are looking for the right individual or couple to come long side and work with us.

Participate in training opportunities as offered.
Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the youth ministry.
Organize training and planning sessions for youth coaches and parents.

Our Lead Pastor, John Elliott, has a bachelor’s degree in church ministries with an emphasis in business administration, a master’s degree in divinity, and has graduated from US Army Institute for Religious Leadership. John and his wife, Claudya, have been the lead pastors of Christ’s Legacy Church since 2022, having served in various other roles in full-time ministry since 2006. Most recently, John served as a US Army chaplain (Captain) and has been certified as a counselor specializing in Solution Focused Brief Therapy and as a facilitator for SYMBIS and Prepare/Enrich marriage and premarital counseling.
John and Claudya met in Sunday school and dated throughout high school and while they both attended Southwestern Assemblies of God University, marrying in August of 2006. Claudya’s degree is in education. She served as an elementary teacher for four years before becoming a real estate agent and a very busy mom. They are driven with the purpose of helping people find God, give hope, and do life together. Their greatest blessings are their four children - Harper, Johnny, Kruger, and Roman.
