Oklahoma School of Ministry

The Oklahoma School of Ministry is a center for leadership providing basic and continuing education for ministerial students, ministers, and Christian workers through interactive relational learning and practical experience in a vibrant spiritual atmosphere that provides spiritual formation in the life of each student.  The school seeks to provide the student with the highest quality instruction and resources possible.  The District School of Ministry uniquely combines home study, classroom instruction, and the student’s relationship with a mentor, and active involvement in ministry.

Through the learning experience provided by the school, each student will acquire the knowledge required for credentialing, to build strong values and character, and to develop the practical skills necessary for successful ministry.  This is learning that includes the head, the heart, and the mind.

The ministries of the school include the courses required for credentialing, ongoing leadership development, and opportunities for ministry and learning experiences.  Students completing all the courses offered will meet the educational requirements for his or her level of ministerial credentials set forth by the General Council Bylaws as adopted by the General Presbytery.
